The Power of Purpose-Driven Non-Profit Video: Supporting CAC’s Mission

Ideal Video Strategies produced the above video for the CAC of Suffolk County.

When I first started Ideal Video Strategies, one of the biggest lessons I learned was that every interaction matters. Even when you don’t land a project, how you show up can still make an impact.

That lesson came full circle when I got a call from the Children’s Advocacy Center of Suffolk County (CAC). The referral came from someone I had met at a networking event nearly two years earlier — someone I’d only quoted for a project but never actually worked with. So when she recommended me for this one, it was a pleasant surprise and a great reminder that professionalism and kindness always come back around.

CAC’s mission is a powerful one — they provide a safe, supportive space for children who have experienced abuse or witnessed violence. Their Boston office had long outgrown its space, and they were looking to raise funds to build a new facility designed specifically to comfort and protect kids during incredibly difficult times.

When we met with their team, we learned how carefully they’d thought through every detail of the new space — from the way children enter the building, to how interviews are conducted in an environment that feels calm and nurturing. It’s a place where children can share their stories safely, surrounded by people trained to listen with care.

We collaborated with CAC to write a compelling script and produce a fundraising video that would help bring their vision to life. The project combined new footage, stock visuals, and existing clips from CAC’s archive to tell an emotional and hopeful story — one that invites the community to be part of something bigger. The result, an effective, informative, and impactful non-profit video.

Their fundraising campaign has made great strides, but the work isn’t done yet. If you’d like to support the Children’s Advocacy Center of Suffolk County, visit their website, learn more, and consider donating. Every bit helps move them closer to a home built for healing.
